my story

Ray Schufford is a God-fearing public servant with are huge heart for people. His main objective in life is to inspire those individuals who need a little extra push in the right direction which happens to be all of us. Ray has over 25 years of experience as a crisis management specialist in the fire service. As a retired first responder and chaplain, Ray understands the importance of being there to help those who struggle with making good choices, complex decisions and life challenges. He provides guidance, encouragement and counseling in all areas as a trusted comrade, mentor and friend. 

 

Ray is a sought after inspirational speaker and published author of five books. He also pins his hat as an international “edutainer” seeking to educate and entertain audiences through captivating talks and written manuscript. As a licensed barber stylist, Ray stepped out on faith to create “Ray’s Nice Look Mobile Barber Lounge”, which provides excellent customer service to clients in the Dallas, Ft. Worth metroplex. He has a passion for mentoring and is co-founder of Mentoring Brother 2 Brother, a non-profit organization that teaches young men leadership, life and development skills. Ray’s community outreach has been recognized through numerous awards from various fire service organizations, hundreds of schools , City of Dallas, WFAA-Ch8 News, Citibank, Bank of America, and Concord Church  just to name a few. A graduate of the University of Central Missouri, Ray received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management. 

 

Ray was raised in ministry. He grew up in the church and is a man that believes in using his God given talents and resources to minister, empower, encourage, uplift and motivate people of all walks of life. His roles in life have required great deal of Christian experience in prayer, consultation, flexibility, availability, and discretion. Ray is a native of Dallas and is married to his wife (Yolanda) and is a proud father and family man of one son and two daughters.
